Founded in 1993, the Mid-Atlantic Affordable Housing Management Association is a non-profit organization whose members are owners and managers of affordable multifamily housing communities throughout the Mid-Atlantic region—including Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C. The provision of comprehensive and timely information and representation for our members and the affordable housing industry is central to our mission with, education, advocacy and networking being our primary focus. In addition, we seek:

  • to act as a primary source for information in the affordable housing industry;

  • to promote a standard of excellence in the management of affordable housing;

  • to build a continuing dialogue with HUD and other regulatory agencies in solving common problems;

  • to improve members’ businesses by providing a venue for the sharing of ideas and information;

  • to identify and encourage quality vendors and service professionals who serve and support the industry;

  • to promptly inform members of changing housing policies and procedures; and

  • to facilitate speaking as one voice on issues of concern.
